NAPS in the News
More publicity for the Association
More PMS sufferers needed to share their experience through the media.
We were quoted extensively in a two-page spread in Company magazine and recommended in a reply to a question in the Life section of the Sunday Telegraph. At the time of going to print, two articles are due to be published in the Scottish Daily Record and The Daily Mail and one is being prepared for Zest magazine for later in the summer.
Jackie Howe, Acting CEO, was interviewed by author and broadcaster Catherine Barry for Near 90 FM Radio in Dublin. Sadly, there is no specialised health care for PMS sufferers in Ireland, who frequently have to turn to NAPS for support and advice. It is to be hoped that with our help there may be an improvement in the existing situation.
NAPS is always in need of women prepared to be interviewed by the media as there is always the problem of over-exposure of one person's story. All PMS sufferers owe a huge debt to those prepared to take that step and discuss their experiences publicly, as publicity is a major way in which we can ensure an improved awareness of PMS and its impact. Please be assured that you do not have to give your full name and that we offer support for you at every stage, making sure that you control how the contact is made with journalists or broadcasters. If you think you could help other PMS sufferers in this way please get in touch with NAPS: contact@pms.org.uk
